HISTORY :
The University of Ulsan (UOU) was founded on February 19, 1969 as the Ulsan Institute of Technology. The University was promoted to a full-fledged University on March 1, 1985. The university is located in Mugeo-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan, South Korea. The city of Ulsan has been recognized as the Korean city which was built around the corporate base of the multinational Hyundai conglomerate. Thus, the Hyundai Conglomerate announced its plan to give 40 billion won to assist a variety of university-industry cooperation projects.

Ulsan International Program:
UIP is an international summer program designed for foreign students who want to learn Korean culture, history, society, business as well as Korean language. The program consists of a broad knowledge of classes and excursions. Participants visit a wide variety of historical and cultural sites around Ulsan and other cities in Korea. On top of them, the program includes field trips to industrial complexes as well. The main topic of the UIP is ‘The Tradition & Industrialization of Korea.’ The geographical location and economical role of Ulsan give participants an unmatched opportunity to explore Korea’s rich past and cutting-edge present.
Application Submission: International students must complete an online application form and submit the required documents, which typically include academic transcripts, English proficiency test scores (such as TOEFL or IELTS), letters of recommendation, and a personal statement or essay.
Visa Application: After being accepted, international students must apply for a student visa at the nearest Korean embassy or consulate in their home country. To obtain a student visa, the student must provide a valid passport, an acceptance letter from the university, and proof of financial support.
Arrival and Enrollment: Once the student arrives in Korea, they must attend an orientation session and register for classes.
Admission Review: Once the application and supporting documents are received, the university will review the application and make an admission decision based on the applicant’s academic background, English proficiency, and other qualifications.

Exchange students can take Korean language courses offered by Korean Language Education Center:
Intensive course with 20 hours per week
there will be placement tests to divide incoming students into beginners, intermediates and advanced.
Basic conversation course with 6 hours per week
placement tests will be conducted in early March (for the spring semester) or early September (for the fall semester)
