HISTORY : 

Chungbuk National University (CBNU) is one of ten Flagship Korean National Universities. It takes its name, Chungbuk, from the common abbreviated form of the province’s Korean name Chungcheongbuk-do. The school opened as “Cheongju Junior Agricultural College” in 1951. At the time, it was operated by the provincial government of North Chungcheong. It became a four-year college in 1953, and was renamed Chungbuk Provincial College in 1956.

In 1962, the national government merged it with Chungnam National University to create the short-lived Chungcheong National University. The two institutions were separated once again in 1963, but Chungbuk College remained under national control. On December 31, 1977, the college was renamed Chungbuk National University.

Activities:

Chungbuk National University would like to make our students get to focus on their study by letting them to have more broad understanding of Korean culture and to chill from time to time. Times : 4 times per year

Activities: Everland Amusement park, Lotte World, Caribbean Bay Water park, Jeonju Hanok Village, Seoul Palace Tour, Korean Minsok Village etc.

Chungbuk National University korea Korean language training program

CBNU Korean Language Program, which has been founded in July 2000, is designed for foreigners and overseas Koreans who need Korean language ability in order to study or get a job in Korea. This program is run by 4 semester per year and a class consists of about 15 students and students are designated to Basic, Intermediate and advanced level based on their level. Also, we aim our students to continue their study to degree program after they complete their comprehensive program that consists of listening, speaking, writing and reading.

Currently, more than 330 students from China, Japan, Vietnam, Spain, Mongolia, Uzbekistan etc. are studying at our school and more than 2,600 students have completed our program and are studying or working in Korea.

Additionally, we also provide our students with cultural activities that let them to have deeper understanding of Koran culture. It helps our students find a job that has similarity with Korea, which contributes to provoke social-economic exchange and reputation.

CBNU Korean Language Program is now the most prominent Korean Language Center in central district based on our academic experiences.
